On October 17, there was a special Mass in Ennis Cathedral and in Castletroy in Limerick with the Josephites in both places playing host to the parishioners.

A pre recorded radio program was broadcast on the 17th of October across West Limerick in their Sacred Space slot. Sr Margaret worked with the team reflecting on Mary MacKillop’s life, using story, songs and sayings from Mary's life.

On November 5th, the first ever Irish representation of Mary MacKillop was unveiled in Newmarket. A special Mass was celebrated in what used to be the Chapel of the Juniorate.

On November 6th Feast of all the Saints of Ireland, the national Celebration of the Canonisation will be celebrated in St John’s Cathedral in Limerick. Mary MacKillop visited Limerick in 1874 and would no doubt have visited this Church under the patronage of St John the Baptist.

The Sisters invtited Josephite families, relatives, friends, past pupils of Newmarket and the people in their present parishes and ministries as well as some Aussie visitors who will join us from Rome to the Celebration. The choirs of Granagh and Ballingarry as well as Liturgical dancers from Ennis Cathedral, and internationally renowned singer and musician Noirin Ni Riain joined by Bag Piper Ruairi Somers to enhance the celebration as a unique event for Ireland.
